The very first place we visited on our trip was Manatayupan Falls.
Mantayupan Falls is located in Barili town, 2-2.5 hours drive away from Cebu City, Philippines. The road going to Barili is relatively smooth all the way passing through the towns of Minglanilla, Naga, San Fernando and Carcar.
Mantayupan Falls is composed of two levels, at the first level are three fourteen meter (14 mtr.) falls, and at the second level is a ninety-eight meter high (98 mtr.) waterfall.
We stopped a few times in Carcar Public Market on the way to some places we went while we're there. We usually leave the house around 5:00 AM then stopped here to eat breakfast and buy food for our lunch. We especially love the chicharon (pork rinds) from Carcar..
We went to the Patron house the next day to meet some 2 of my batch mates then we went to my friend Carmen's house to open some of the balikbayan boxes we sent over there in advance.
Meeting some of the missionaries from Utah and one of my mission mates Ramir De Dios.
The kids walking around the temple while I was chatting with some of my friends..
We sent 33 balikbayan boxes and distributed it to our family, church members, neighbors and friends and all the kids that we regularly fed.. (More of that on the next posts)
We took a rest and had ice cream when the ice cream guy came. This is how they sell ice cream in the Philippines an equivalent to Ice cream truck in the US.
Then we met with Rita (my friend Fe's sister) @ Ayala Mall during the premiere of the movie "Meet The Mormons"

During our trip, we stayed at President and Sister Perez (Cebu Temple President) house. We can't thank them enough for providing us a very comfortable place and for their generosity.
This summer we went on vacation to the Philippines. We spent about 6 weeks there and had so much fun with our friends and family. I'll try to catch up posting all the pictures we had taken..
The kids were excited to go and most especially the two little ones since it's their first time to go to the Philippines..
