For our big Finale, Saturday morning we got up early and drove down the 10 miles of dusty dirt road to Fossil Safari quarry to dig our very own fossil fish! Everybody had a blast breaking open slabs of limestone and we found some fantastic fish fossils. I managed to cleave out a nearly 36 inch slab of rock in a single piece with 14 complete fish fossils and several partials. It was a fun ending to a great 3 days with the kids!
