We did some fun stuff yesterday. We went to 3 different places and had a lot of fun! Our first stop was the Kennecott Utah Copper Mine in Bingham Canyon.

Known as “The Richest Hole on Earth” it has yielded more than 18.1 million tons of copper metal, plus significant by-products gold, silver and molybdenum. Ore from the Mine is transported by a five-mile conveyor to the Copperton Concentrator where the rock containing about 0.6 percent copper is crushed and ground to face powder consistency before passing through a chemical flotation process where 28-percent copper concentrate is separated from molybdenite concentrate, which is packaged and sold to steel producers.

Next we went to Tracy Aviary. We enjoyed seeing all the birds and feeding them. It was our first time to see different kinds of birds and it was a lot of fun. They do have a bird show but we missed it since we came there later in the afternoon.

Tracy Aviary is located on eight acres of land in the heart of Salt Lake City. A charitable act by Salt Lake City banker Russell Lord Tracy founded Tracy Aviary when he donated his private bird collection to Salt Lake City and its children. Open to the public since 1938, Tracy Aviary maintains a collection of approximately 400 birds representing about 135 species. Many of these birds are considered rare or endangered.

We bought a book from the gift shop "What Is A Bird" and Andrew got so excited with it that he asked Jessica to read her to him the book on our way to our next stop.

Our last stop was the Davis County Fair. They have a lot of activities, petting zoo, horizon credit union kid's fun zone, pony rides, bunny barn, hen house and a lot more. Andrew as usual loves the rides in the carnival. Here's some pictures we took!

It's always nice to explore and see places together as a family. It strenghten our bonds together. Russ and I are planning on doing activity like this on a regular basis. I'm excited for out next family adventures.. Thanks for visiting and have a nice day!
