When we went to Castle Dale I bought this "family history in a jar" from one of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers exhibit. Inside the jar are several pieces of paper with questions written on them. It is design for us to choose a question to write in our journal each day. Last night we did this for our family night. Some of the questions are not applicable for younger kids but we still went through a lot of them. It's a fun activity to get to know each other's experiences, favorites, expectations and more.
Since Andrew is not old enough for this, his responsibility was to hand out question to everybody which he enjoyed doing!

Fe invited me to come to their stake for the General Relief Society Meeting. They had a dinner before the broadcast started. We had Applebee's Oriental Chicken Noodle. It was really good and I enjoyed meeting some of the sisters from her ward.
The broadcast was amazing! I was moved by the reminder of how much people through the dispensation have sacrificed to get to the temple. Sister Allred talked of people who would use basically all their income and even sell some stuff they have and travel 5 days each way on an uncomfortable bus to get to the temple. Elder Uchtdorf’s address was very inspiring! I loved what he said about the good we can do as we answer prayers, not just pray for them. I felt renewed after the RS conference and am looking forward for this coming General Conference.Saturday, September 27, 2008
Today was Tricia (Russ's niece) and Rodrigo's wedding. We got to attend their sealing ceremony at the Salt Lake Temple. We enjoyed it and I always loved the spirit that I feel when I'm inside the temple especially as we witnessed a beautiful couple being sealed for all time and eternity.

Last night we had a standard's night for youth in our stake and parents were invited to attend. We all went and have learned a lot of things. The first part of the program was the showing of a media presentation "Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing". Then after the presentation, the Stake president called 4 youth to come up and share what they thought of the media presentation and all 4 of them had the same thought but they expressed it in a different ways "Jesus Christ is the ultimate standard he set the perfect standard for us to follow on everything we should do" For our family home evening we discussed some of our thoughts on the standard's night and the media presentation "Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing".

The George S. Eccles Dinosaur Park is packed full of prehistoric creatures, interactive exhibits and adventure. Located next to the Ogden River Trail, the 8 acre park features life-sized dinosaurs hiding among the trees, dinosaur tracks and caves waiting to be explored.
We went to Scrapbook Expo at South Towne Expo Center in Salt Lake this morning. There were a lot of awesome vendors. We didn't stay there, we just went mostly to shop and I got some really nice albums and other scrapbooking supplies without spending too much money. Here's some pictures we took..

From the expo we stopped at some DI's. Andrew found a camera and he wanted to try it("so he can take pictures and scrapbook too!) :)

I bought a potty chair when Andrew was about 14 months old hoping to get him to use it and get potty trained but it's been sitting in the toilet for a while since he wouldn't not use it and worst he was scared to sit on it. I have been trying to potty train him for a while now and unfortunately he would not cooperate so I thought he might not be ready. I bought a book "Zack's Potty" and I read it to him every other night when I put him to sleep and he got excited about using the potty while we're reading it but when I put him in the toilet he would just cry and would tell me he doesn't want to make a mess in the toilet so I finally set the idea of potty training him aside.
Until last night he told me he needed to go potty in the toilet. Having a new underwear didn't excite him at all so we told him he would get a fancy new car if he would use the potty chair. That made him so excited! So today he finally use his potty chair.
He was so happy to get his reward after making a poop in his potty chair. He didn't only get one car but he got more as he was using his potty chair every time he needed to go. I hope he will continue to use his potty chair from now on, it will save us some $$$ for diapers and wipes!
